MIDDLETOWN, New Jersey – The New Jersey Titans coaches and staff are getting ready for the 2016 NAHL Draft that will take place on Tuesday, June 7 at 2 p.m. eastern time.
The Titans will have the 16th overall selection on Tuesday.
“This is an exciting time for us as an organization. Once we got in here, we had this day circled on the calendar. As a staff, we all worked hard getting prepared for this big day, said new Titans’ general manager and head coach, Craig Doremus.
“There were a lot of hours and scouting put into this as a whole and we are excited to see the new wave of Titans talent.”
Doremus, assistant coach and assistant general manager Bobby DiRico, the Titans’ scouting staff, and ownership, will all be at the Titans’ draft center on Tuesday morning going over final notes and thoughts before making their first selection.
Last year, the Titans held the 13th overall pick and selected forward Joseph Schuler from the Buffalo Jr. Sabres U18 team. The six-foot forward played in 59 games for the Titans this past season and had nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points.
The Titans are looking to build off a solid 2015-16 season, where the club finished 34-22-4, good enough for 72 points in the East Division, and made the playoffs.
“The season started for us once we got through the doors and we can’t wait to get going with the draft, Doremus said.
“Our fans should be real excited about where the future is heading, and it starts with Tuesday at the NAHL Draft.”
