The Titans EHL team started off the weekend with a tie against the Bobcats. Glenn Corey got the Titans going with the first goal of the game, but the Bobcats answered scoring later in the period to make it 1-1. The Titans started off the second period off with a goal from Caleb Callaway. The Titans striked again a few minutes later with a goal from Anthony Scala. The Bobcats came back strong getting two goals late in the game to end the game in a 3-3 tie. The Titans EHL team's first home game is September 26. The defending champs, U16 National team went 2-2. They won their first game 5-2 against Applecore. The Titans lost their second game to a very strong Team Illinois. They rebounded back and came out hard to beat the Little Flyers 7-2. The Titans advanced to the quarterfinals but had a disappointing 2-0 loss to the Buffalo Regals, who ended up taking the Showcase Championship Title. The Titans got a lot of production from Nick Godfrey, Matt Mood, and TJ Hawkins. The goaltending was very strong this weekend, keeping the Titans in every game. The U16 national team looks ready to go. They will be tested in two weeks when they go to Blaine, Minnesota for the Blaine Showcase.
The U18 team had a tough weekend going 0-2-1. They lost their first game 4-3 to the Philadelphia Revolution. Their sole point of the weekend came in the second game when they tied the Phoenix Coyotes. They finishing the showcase in a tough 3-0 loss to the Northern Cyclones. The Titans look to bounce back this weekend as they take on Wilkes Barre Knights on Friday and Saturday, then Team Comcast on Sunday. All these U18 AAA games will take place at Middletown Ice World.
