The New Jersey Titans are pleased to announce that defenseman Maxime Blanchard has signed a tender agreement with the team for the 2019-20 season.
Blanchard is a left-handed defenseman from Pelham, Ontario and plays for Ridley College of the Midwest Prep Hockey League. In 12 games this season, the ’01 blue liner has three goals and four assists for seven points.
Titans scout David Bush has kept a close eye on Blanchard at Ridley over the last two seasons, and had words of praise for the young defenseman.
“I can’t say enough about this young man as a player and as a person. Max plays a complete game and could be a highly contributing member of the current Titan team right now. His offensive upside, puck-moving ability and his leadership qualities will definitely benefit the Tiitan organization next year.”
When talking about the signing, Blanchard expressed his excitement in playing hockey in the Garden State.
“I consider it a privilege to play in the NAHL and more specifically for the New Jersey Titans. I’m looking forward to getting to New Jersey to put in the work and effort necessary to help bring a championship to the community of Middletown,” Blanchard said.
The Titans would like to congratulate Max and his family on his decision to become a part of the organization.
