The Junior Titans '97 forward nearly missed her opportunity to skate in the 18U National Program when she broke her collar bone in a Wall Township High School game over the winter. The injury was slow to heal and Jessica could not participate in the Atlantic District tryout. Since she impressed at camp last year, USAH was able to give her an alternate spot. She waited patiently and the call didn't come, and Jess was resigned to earning her way back next season. At the last moment, while she was away at a summer enrichment program at Lawrenceville prep, the call came in that another player had to miss the camp and Jess was on the next plane to St. Cloud Minn. So far her team is 2-0-1 in the daily games and she is learning and having a great time with the 18U players. Keep up the good work Jessica!
