Farmingdale, NJ – The New Jersey Titans AJHL team received landmark news this past weekend when Defenseman Brendan Conroy committed to Division III Bowdoin College. Conroy an offensive defenseman from Batavia, Illinois has been exactly the player the Titans have expected.
Conroy was acquired earlier this season from the Boston Bandits, and since his acquisition has stepped into the Titans defensive core and has been a catalyst for the Titans on both the Power Play as well as in their defensive zone. Conroy also has been a steadying influence back there with Junior experience to pass on to the rest of the defensive core.
Conroy will join a strong Division III Program of the NESCAC in Bowdoin who is known for their success year-after-year and provides a strong education in addition to their hockey program, “I was looking at Bowdoin for a while now. It’s a great school with a tremendous hockey program and that’s what attracted me to it. I visited the campus and saw a game this past weekend and saw the great atmosphere up there. The coaches were excited to meet with me, and I am very excited to get this opportunity to play in the NESCAC and play for Coach Meagher’s great program. I am also thankful for Coach DePalma’s work to get me this opportunity,” Conroy said.
