New Jersey Titans forward Dominik Bartecko has been named the Bauer Hockey NAHL Forward of the Month after recording 24 points in 10 games during March, becoming the first Titan to receive the honor since Michael Young in December of 2022. His offense helped power the Titans towards their 9th consecutive playoff birth, going 8-2-0 in the month.
Along the way, the Mercyhurst commit set new franchise season records for the Titans, surpassing Ryan Naumovski’s 43 assists in 2018-19, and Mitch Machlitt’s 62 points in 2019-20. The Brentwood, Tennessee native is currently has 29 goals and 48 assists, good for 4th overall in the NAHL with 77 points. Since being acquired from Amarillo last season, Bartecko has recorded 33 goals and 73 assists, becoming the first Titan to record over 100 points in less than 100 games.
Head Coach and General Manager Craig Doremus remarked, “Dom was dominant throughout the month of March for our team. He was the leader for us day to day and raised his own level as well as those around him. Dom has worked every day to improve his game and he has really pushed himself to become the best version of himself. He is going to be a heck of a college hockey player but until then we are lucky to have him here in New Jersey. We can’t wait to see him finish the regular season and then lead us into the playoffs.”
“I’m excited to receive forward of the month, but credit goes to my teammates,” Dominik Bartecko said. “We have been on a roll this last half, and we are playing with tons of confidence and swagger. All focus is going into these next couple weeks come playoff time, and I can’t wait to see what this group brings to the table.”
