The New Jersey Titans will host the Northeast Generals for the first time in Middletown this weekend as the Titans celebrate with their Military Appriciation Weekend. In four previous matchups this season in Attleboro, both teams have won two games, splitting both weekends. Both teams also come into Friday night’s game under .500 in their past ten games. For New Jersey, they are 4-5-1, most recently falling to Danbury on Wednesday night in overtime, after Jack Hillier forced the extra session with a goal at 17:36 of the third period. For the Generals, they are 3-6-1, snapping a five game slide last Friday when they defeated the Maryland Black Bears on the road 6-4, before falling to the East Division’s top team 4-1 on Saturday.
The teams are neck and neck in the standings, with the Titans currently in 5th place with a record of 12-18-3 and 45 points, and the Generals one point behind in 6th place with a 21-20-2 record for 44 points. After the two games this weekend, the teams will only see each other for one more weekend, in Middletown in March.
