The North American Hockey League announced its Bauer Hockey Divisional Stars of the Week for week ending May 9 and Titans forward Nick Seitz was named the East Division’s first star of the week while team captain Jake Suede was named honorable mention.
Seitz had six points (2 goals and 4 assists) in three games last week. He had a goal and an assist in last Tuesday’s 5 – 4 come-from-behind shootout victory over the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks; he had a goal and an assist in Friday’s contest against Northeast and a pair of assists in Saturday’s 5 – 3 win over the Generals.
“Nick has been a driving force for us since his return from injury earlier this year” stated Titans head coach Craig Doremus. “His play this past week helped us get four important points. We look forward to him continuing his strong play as we head into the first round of the playoffs” concluded Doremus.
Seitz leads the team with 47 totals points (19 goals and 28 assists). This is the sixth time overall that the New York, NY native has received league recognition. He was the East Division’s Star of the Week for week ending March 13th, and he was named honorable mention weeks ending March 7, February 7 and 14. He was honorable mention for Forward of the Month for March.
Suede had five points (4 goals and 1 assist) in three games last week. He had a pair of goals and an assist in Friday’s contest, and he had a pair of goals in Saturday’s victory.
Suede has 29 points (15 goals and 14 assists) in 46 games. This is the third time this season that the Macomb, MI native has received weekly/monthly league recognition. He was named honorable mention for Forward of the Month for February and the East Division’s Second Star of the Week for week ending February 21.
